Can't sleep I'm so excited about IPv6 Day. It's like Christmas morning. I hope DARPA Claus came and when I run downstairs, under the Spanning Tree, I'll find his DNS Elves made me my Infoblox!
I’m channeling my inner geek. I’ve never taken a computer class. My academic career (ahem) rode the cresting wave of IT adoption and I didn’t paddle hard enough. At my high school, they upgraded the computer lab the year I left. At Berkeley I’d passed out of all my math and science classes (don’t say it) but two, I took Astro 10 and Physics 10, the whole 10 series being Mick’s designed for liberal arts majors and jocks. I barely got by, stealing, er, borrowing Physics for Poets homework while I wrote my history thesis, “How Western Travelers Effected Nineteenth-Century Russian Peasant Reform” (and, no that’s not a typo, google it, bitches) on a typewriter, twice.
So, it’s nothing short of high-larious that I’ve been writing about high-tech crap since 1992. I don’t want to bore you as I wax nostalgic about my days composing haiku around UNIX, COBOL, and…and…some other dopey tech thing…uh…see…C…C+…C++ I have to get to work.
My wife’s right. I’m not funny.
